Litmus Gallery & Studios bids everyone “Au Revoir” with one last exhibit of the art of our talented resident artists as we sadly close our gallery and studios at the end of July, 2021. 😢 Our “AU REVOIR” exhibit will open with a reception from 6-9 pm on First Friday, June 4 and will close on June 26. We wish to express a special ‘thank you’ to the many gifted artists who have shared their wonderful art with us by participating in our exhibits over the years, and an enthusiastic thanks to the many art lovers who have attended our exhibits. We hope many of you will be able to drop by for our opening reception so we can personally say goodbye, and maybe reminisce with us about previous good times spent at our gallery.

Truth to Power 8 opens August 6, 2020 at Power Plant Gallery at Duke University. The exhibit, at least initially, will be experienced through online formats, such as an online gallery guide, zoom talks, video and Instagram live due to the pandemic. In this year of 2020, as we face viruses of many kinds, the stunning and emotional works in the exhibit provide powerful commentary on our times, with a focus on structural racism’s impact on a personal and societal level. Thank you to the co-jurors Angel Dozier and Cor Art for their dedication, and for the 30 talented artists who created work that speaks Truth to Power.

**Happy to welcome our new member to this space**
Looking for a secluded and inexpensive place to make art? We're a co-op with 7-8 members, the space open, but easy to ventilate; and very hot in the summer, gas heat in winter. Water, sewer, trash/recycling, gas, electricity utilities included in rent. Dedicated parking lot close to downtown, grassy yard for spray painting, 24/hr access and best feature in an epidemic: we are not open to the public. Space measures 20'x11' with option to build/move walls, add a loft, etc. Message for tour and details. I guess, wear some kind of a mask so we don't infect each other. Or, we can do a facetime tour! This is not a great time, but maybe an artist out there needs to move to a more flexible or inexpensive space.
