t's a beautiful day in downtown Raleigh. Come check out this piece by Anne Stagg!
"When it comes to cast off and forgotten things, I like to consider their past life, past value and imagine future uses so when I came across a bale of industrial wool felt remnants, I was immediately drawn to the fuzzy surface, perforated forms and residual marks of industry. I have been exploring this material through cutting, sewing, gluing, weaving and painting in search of new possibilities. I'm working with ideas about what we cast aside and how we ascribe value, loss, failure, absurdity, and function."

Taking Control 004 by Jaclyn Sanders
Through the manipulation of paint, mirrors and light, my work explores the duality of what is in and what is out of one’s control. Each work in the series represents the development of my own awareness of these competing relationships and the extent to which I am affected by this knowledge. - Jackie Sanders
