Most people never get the chance to see how art is created or even where for that matter. Studio visits are a way to witness the magic on a first-hand basis while the masterpiece is still in progress.
Here are 3 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE HAVING A STUDIO VISIT WITH AN ARTIST...
1/5
1. TOUCH NOTHING! (unless previously discussed)
This may sound like common sense, but believe me--it is not. Most of what is in a studio is a work-in-progress, ergo its highly probable that what? THE PAINT IS STILL WET!

2. FEEL NO OBLIGATION
Approach studio visits like a hybrid between a formal meeting and a coffee date. You are there to connect with the artist and ultimately EXPERIENCE the art. Do you have to buy anything? No. Should you be prepared to? ABSOLUTELY
3/5
3. NO GHOSTING
Studio visits need not be a one-and-done love affair. Continued support, feedback, and check-ins are so rare for artists we get a real boost from the attention.
