So it's been a while since I've posted an update, but between 2 jobs, running a film club, and health issues... I've been busy.
But here is an update:
I'm going to approach The Cary Theater to host my film club for a screening of Phantom of the Paradise, and then I'm going to ask if they would host a shadowcast of the film similar to rocky horror (except with less mess...no toilet paper or thrown food,etc). Just callback lines and and maybe some cool prop bag stuff for souvenirs.
But the theater is perfect for a live performance... the box seats on the left and right...Left for the mirror with Swan's seat, the right for our spotlight and wire to the stage to shock Beef. A catwalk could be placed center stage out into the audience. And there's enough stage for everything else. I just need to plan minimal props/set pieces that can be used as multiple objects like the Beach Bums car, Beef's resurrection table, the sing sing assembly line and the record press. Oh and of course the office of swan. But im sure we can all discuss the possibilities. Im thinking a lot of wood cutouts, so they can be stacked flat and easily stored/transported... but im getting ahead of myself.
