After the June flood last year. Kay Carter was rescued in the night of the flood, standing in water chest deep on the porch. The rowboat skimmed the top of the fence and tops of cars, as it was 8 ft deep in the street.
Artwork and antiques gone.
Kay is still alive but battling breast cancer currently. She will never be the same, and neither will the town of Rainelle.
A lifetime of her pouring everything she's got into her work, lost forever. Very very few pieces of her work still exist.
