What's a movie quote you still use way too often?

Mine is mos definitely... "you're killin me, smalls."

Happy birthday to the dude who made me a dad.

Can’t believe you’re 6 already. Feels like yesterday you were just a tiny little guy, and now you’re turning into a mini me… especially when it comes to video games. I couldn’t be happier about that.

Happy birthday, bud. Now let’s go celebrate 🧱💙

So… what is Madimus?

Honestly, it’s just the fun side of what we do.

Maxilyn House has always been about handmade, community, and creating cozy things people love. Madimus is where I get to make all the weird ideas that my wife has politely said “absolutely not” to for the last seventy-eleven times.

The name came from our kids. Mad is from Maddy… because she’s usually mad about something. Imus is from Maximus. It made us laugh, so it stuck.

The older I get, the more I realize we all still have that little kid in us somewhere. Mine just gets really excited about old arcade games, pixel art, goofy gadgets, and making random things that probably don’t need to exist… but are way more fun because they do.

Being a dad has made me appreciate that even more. Kids can turn the smallest thing into the coolest thing in the world. Somewhere along the way, adults forget how to do that.

Madimus is my excuse to remember.

So if something makes you laugh, reminds you of growing up, or just makes you think, “That’s kinda awesome…” then I probably made it for you.

I’m just the weird guy over here making stuff that I think is cool. Turns out, a lot of other people never really grew up either.

My first puzzle! 🧩

Having the ability to print and cut has been a total game changer. It unlocked a whole new level of cool.

So here’s my first one.

Made from durable MDF and UV printed for bright, crisp colors, it’s built to be enjoyed over and over. And like everything I make under Madimus, you won’t find it anywhere else.

Huge thanks to my wife for handling all the backend stuff like packaging and making everything look legit… otherwise there’s a solid chance you’d be getting this in a Ziploc bag haha

I’m already thinking about all the weird, nostalgic, and retro designs I can turn into puzzles next… and I may have created a new obsession.

What should I make into a puzzle next?

🏆 Well… I finally made it.

I’m officially on the Maxilyn House website. I’d like to thank my super awesome wife for approving my application after what felt like a lengthy review process and I’m honored to have been accepted haha

For those who don’t know me, I’m Curtis, aka Mr. Maker and co-owner of Maxilyn House and the weird guy behind Madimus.

Madimus is basically where all the random ideas in my head end up. Retro stuff, pixel art, nostalgia, things that make me laugh, and whatever weird rabbit hole I happen to fall into that week 👾

If you’re into the kind of stuff that makes you go, “Oh man, I forgot about that,” you’ll probably fit in just fine here.

I’ve got a few creations up on the website now, with plenty more on the way.

Huge thank you to everyone who’s supported our little adventure so far. It really does mean a lot.
