This is a brand‑new play developed right here in Racine through our ROOT CAUSE program. Root Cause is OOHPs’ initiative to uplift local writers and creators by providing a platform to launch new work.

Written by Racine playwright Amy Hanson, The Good One is a gripping, emotionally charged family drama set in an ICU after an overdose. As a mother and two sisters face impossible choices, long‑buried resentments, dark humor, and unexpected truths rise to the surface. Raw, funny, and deeply human, this world‑premiere production is part of World Premiere Wisconsin. World Premiere Wisconsin, a statewide festival celebrating new

We’re thrilled to have Racine photojournalism legend Mark Hertzberg join us in the audience on Saturday's closing performance of our puppet musical,Salmon‑A‑Rama.

Our puppet photographer Milt Firstberg is a loving nod to Mark — the sharp eye, the big curiosity, and the belief that even a killer salmon might be the story of a lifetime.

It feels pretty special to have had the real‑life inspiration in the house as we wrapped up this wild ride.

Two more performances left and then we say, "So long", to our puppet friends and close down Season 34. Racine’s own Eric Hoffman — yes, the 2016 Salmon‑A‑Rama champion! He stopped by the theatre and posed with our very realistic, totally‑not‑flopping, giant pretend salmon.

We’re calling it a full‑circle moment: the real angler meets the musical’s oversized fish chaos and puppet musical.

Thanks for joining us, Eric. You made our puppets feel almost legitimate.
