The newwest addition to the book collection, Reckoning, the catalog from the show highlight the ways that artists exemplify the tradition of exhibiting resilience in times of conflict, the ritual of creation and the defiant pleasure of healing.

Reckoning, is about looking, witnessing, seeing and being seen.

The book features the work of a plethora of somw.of my favorite contemporary and legacy artists.

I am excited to share more about the collection of art literature.

One of the hats I wear is not only as owner and founder of but the most rewarding hat I wear is being a father. My daughter Nia Terry has watched me navigate this arts ecosystem from many vantage points, watching my every move. Now as she grows into her own as a soon to be adult, artist, entrepreneur and young woman creative, i'm thankful for the connections I've been able to forge for her as she slowly creates her own art career.

Shout out to two amazing artists I've introduced her to who have stepped up as mentors and are shining examples of leaders in their own right, the amazing Lynthia Edwards and Rosy Petri .

Art World, it is an honor and my pleasure to introduce you to my baby, girl Nia Terry.

3rd Place Winner in the Teen Division ofBlack Creativity at the and previous exhibiting artist at Wustum Museum of Art

That time we couldn't leave the Big Apple after the art show, we made lemonade out of lemons... in the dead of winter. Great conversation was had about everything under the sun regarding art, over a hot meal with these legends in the game, Walter & Cathy.

Mahogany Gallery has always believed that art belongs in the community, and sometimes that means taking it outside the gallery walls. As the founder of Groov’n In The Garden, we created a space where live music, visual art, and community culture meet under the open sky.

Now in its 4th year, Groov’n In The Garden continues to grow as one of the area's signature outdoor celebrations of performance, creativity, and connection. From soulful live bands to curated art experiences, the event reflects Mahogany Gallery’s broader mission: to champion artists, activate spaces, and bring the arts to people, locally and across the country.

What started as a vision has become a movement.

This summer, we groov’n again!
