It has been a great ride, but we're closing down the Quitman Community Theatre. We (Beck and Bob) intend to devote more time in our golden years to travel and family. During our eight-year run (2006 through 2013), QCT won the County Line Magazine Best Play of the Year Award in all of Northeast Texas every single year after our first season. That's seven years in a row! QCT also won County Line's Best Theatre in NE TX Award the first three years that the award was created--and then we were inducted into the Best of the Best Hall of Fame (and no longer allowed to compete for that Award...;) We're understandably quite proud of these accomplishments. Future theatrical endeavors will involve us directing one show per year in other venues. Please come and enjoy our work at neighboring theatres. And support live theatre everywhere! Wonderful artist James Gowan has improved upon something that was already terrific! Realizing that the curtain is an integral character in "Ghosts: the Musical", he has incorporated it into this fabulous poster. We love it!

Last night's performance of "Ghosts: the Musical" was....surreal. What a responsive audience! Two performances left: tonight (Sat) at 7:30, and tomorrow's matinee at 2pm.

Final weekend starts tonight! Tonight and Saturday at 7:30pm; Sunday matinee at 2pm. "Ghosts: the Musical", by William Allen Jones--- a different kind of show, both riotously funny and extremely poignant. A truly delightful evening of theatre. Live--errr---dead on stage at the Lake Country Playhouse in Mineola.

Every year we present a scholarship to a graduating Quitman High School Drama Student. The recipient of this year's award is the charming and talented Beth Noble. In addition to helping QCT make the world a better place through the infusion of culture into our society, Beth also happened to win the Best Actress in Texas Award at this year's UIL competition!
