Where do I even begin?
The 2026 racing season has definitely had its ups and downs, especially with Mother Nature! June was particularly rough on us, but I truly believe 2027 is going to bring better weather, better racing, and bigger things for Quincy Raceways!
Quincy Raceways is more than just a dirt track. It’s a place where families and friends come together, where memories are made, and where generations have carried on the tradition of Sunday night dirt track racing.
I remember being a kid at Quincy Raceways. Back then, we didn’t have smartphones or all the distractions we have today. We came to watch racing, spend time with family, and enjoy something special.
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine my family and I would someday own Quincy Raceways.
And sometimes, I still can’t believe we’re here.
As Jaden would say, it doesn’t even feel real!
But here we are, doing everything we can to keep this great racing tradition alive.
I WANT TO TAKE A MINUTE TO RECOGNIZE SOME VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE!
🏁 MATT — THE MAN WHO NEVER QUITS!
Every week, Matt works his tail off getting the racetrack ready so we all have a place to call home on Sunday nights.
Matt is the kind of guy who would do just about anything for anybody. He never gives up!
And I have to give credit to Bill, Adam, and Logan. Somehow, they manage to deal with drivers throughout the season, even when somebody isn’t happy with a call!
They take the criticism, keep moving forward, and do their best to be fair.
Are they perfect? No. But they do a much better job than I ever could!
Running a racetrack is a full-time job, and I already have a full-time job running my roofing business. I know how frustrating things can get, but I also know how lucky we are to have these people.

He’s a DeLonjay, and that means something!
My grandpa Walter taught him a thing or two about hard work, and he hasn’t missed a beat.
Uncle Hank is always around, ready to fix something, repair something, or do whatever it takes to keep the races running smoothly.
From working on the track to running a push truck, he does it all out of the kindness of his heart.
He has never taken a dime!
So please, when you see him, take a minute to thank him. People like Uncle Hank are what keep a place like Quincy Raceways alive.

Matt, thank you for always being ready to help repair whatever needs fixing at the track, and for dealing with all the emotions that come along with race car drivers and their race cars!
You’ve been there when we’ve needed you, and we appreciate it more than you know.

Pearce, Eli, Breanne, Rory, Stevie, our camera crew, corner workers, EMTs, pit ticket booth workers, and everyone else who helps make race night happen — THANK YOU!

Christy, Betsy, and Alicia Owsley — thank you for everything you do with our Junior Speedster program!
I remember being a kid at Quincy Raceways, and I truly believe my upbringing at this track is part of the reason I’m involved in racing today.
What you ladies are doing for these children is priceless.
Alicia, what you do for these kids is absolutely priceless! You’re helping create memories they’ll carry with them for the rest of their lives, and you’re helping build the next generation of racing fans at Quincy Raceways. We appreciate everything you do!
These kids are the future of our sport, and people like you are helping make sure dirt track racing lives on for generations to come.

Ashley, thank you for being such an awesome sister and sister-in-law and helping keep the kitchen going.

Stephanie, Jessi, and Stacey — thank you for keeping our fans supplied with ice-cold beverages and for everything you do.
And to our gate crew, without you, the show simply wouldn’t go on!
Jeremy and Angie Buss, thank you for bringing Albert and Riley out to help keep cars off the racetrack and for everything you contribute.
These are the people behind the scenes who don’t always get the recognition they deserve.

Between running our businesses, the racetrack, family, and everything else life throws at us, things can get pretty hectic around our house, that’s for sure!
Some days I don’t know how she puts up with it all, let alone puts up with me! 😂
Renee, thank you for your patience, your support, and everything you do behind the scenes that most people never see.
You deal with the phone calls, the long days, the stress, the last-minute changes, and all the craziness that comes with everything we have going on.
And somehow, you keep putting up with all of it!

I want to take a minute to thank my dad, Jeff DeLonjay, for something that means more to me than he’ll ever know.
My dad raised me to be a thinker, to use my head, to work hard, and most importantly, to NEVER GIVE UP!
He taught me that life isn’t always going to be easy, that nothing worth having comes without hard work, and that when things get tough, you don’t quit. You figure out a way to get it done!
Those lessons have followed me my entire life, from running my roofing business to taking on the challenges of owning Quincy Raceways.
There have been plenty of times in my life when things didn’t go as planned, when quitting might have seemed like the easiest thing to do. But I was raised differently.
You don’t give up. You think, you work, and you find a way!
My dad is the true definition of what a DAD should be.
A hardworking man who leads by example, stands behind his family, and teaches his children the values they’ll carry for the rest of their lives.
Dad, I hope you know how much I love and respect you. If I can be half the man and father you’ve been to me, I’ll consider myself a successful man.

Thank you for your continued support of our hometown racetrack.
We know not every night is perfect.
We know there will be disagreements, frustrations, and things that don’t always go according to plan.
But we also know how much this place means to so many families.
Owning and operating a racetrack isn’t always easy. There are long hours, sleepless nights, equipment breaking down, weather problems, and plenty of headaches that come with it.
But then Sunday night rolls around.
You hear those engines fire up, see the grandstands filling with families, watch the kids cheering for their favorite drivers, and suddenly you’re reminded why we do all of this.
It’s not just about racing. It’s about family, tradition, friendships, and keeping something special alive in our community.
We’re all part of the same racing family, and we’re lucky to have each other.
As long as this community continues to support Quincy Raceways, we’re going to keep doing everything we can to make it better!
