A message from Fair Director, Katie:

"As we close the gates on another incredible Plumas-Sierra County Fair, my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

To every volunteer who gave their time, talents, and endless energy, thank you. This fair happened because of you. Whether you spent months planning, worked behind the scenes, welcomed guests, cleaned, built, hauled, problem-solved, or simply showed up whenever help was needed, you are the reason this community celebration was such a success. There is no way to adequately express how grateful I am for each and every one of you.

Thank you to our amazing vendors for bringing such incredible shopping opportunities and delicious food. Every corner of the fairgrounds had something fun to discover, and the smells alone were enough to make you hungry!

A huge thank you to our carnival partner for bringing the rides, lights, laughter, and excitement that created memories for so many families.

To our exhibitors and livestock families. What an incredible year. The quality of the livestock was truly the best of the best. Your dedication, countless early mornings, late nights, and months of hard work were on full display, and our community is so proud of you.

The gardens were absolutely beautiful, showcasing the talent and care of so many local growers. Combined with the lush green grounds, the fairgrounds looked better than ever. It was a place our community could truly be proud of.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came through the gates. Seeing families making memories, kids laughing, neighbors reconnecting, and our community celebrating together is exactly what makes the fair so special.

This year's fair reminded us that the Plumas-Sierra County Fair is so much more than four days; it's a celebration of community, agriculture, tradition, and the incredible people who call this place home.

Thank you for making my first fair as 'Director of Fair' one I will never forget. I can't wait to build on this foundation and make next year even better.

See you at the fair in 2027!

Did you know? This iconic Hotel Quincy Koffee Shop sign is the only surviving piece of the historic Hotel Quincy, which was destroyed by fire in 1966. The Hotel Quincy itself was built in 1925, replacing the grand Plumas House Hotel, and for decades served as the heart of downtown Quincy—a gathering place for travelers, community celebrations, and everyday conversations. The site had been home to three successive hotels dating back to the Gold Rush, all ultimately lost to fire.

Thanks to the vision and dedication of the Plumas-Sierra County Fair Foundation, this treasured neon sign was restored and given a new home at the fairgrounds. Today, it shines once again—not just as a beautiful landmark, but as a reminder of Quincy’s rich history and the importance of preserving the stories that make our community unique.

Next time you’re at the fair, take a moment to look up. That glowing martini glass and the classic “Hotel Quincy Koffee Shop” sign are more than vintage neon—they’re a piece of our hometown’s history, saved for future generations to enjoy ❤️
