The cast and creative team of THE TALE: A New Musical are delving deep into the process, bringing new scenes, songs and characters to life as part of QMT’s inaugural New Works Theatre Intensive. Be among the first audiences ever to experience this original musical inspired by Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities. These staged readings are your chance to see a brand-new work in development and stick around afterward for a talkback about the process.

In person auditions are TONIGHT!!

Most actors step into roles that have been played before. With THE TALE, you have the chance to do something very different: originate a role in a brand-new musical! As part of Quincy Music Theatre's New Works Theatre one-week Intensive, performers will work directly with the show's writers, composer, director, and creative team as the material continues to develop, culminating in two public staged readings. You'll have the opportunity to explore a character from the ground up, work with evolving material, and help shape how the story ultimately comes to life.
