What an absolutely fun Fine Arts Day at Culver-Stockton College Art & Design! Some of our advanced select seniors had the opportunity to take two classes and enter two art pieces into a visual art show! Congratulations to Makenzie Hill for getting an award and to Reegan Pfab for getting BEST OF SHOW!!! We are so proud of our kiddos! Keep making great art!

Reclaiming clay is the eco-friendly, cost-effective process of recycling pottery scraps, trimmings, and failed, unfired pieces back into workable, plastic clay. It involves collecting scraps, soaking them in water to create a slip like texture, drying the mixture on plaster bats or In our case a canvas covered table, and finally wedging it to remove air and restore texture! It’s a smelly and messy practice, but it’s what I want my students to learn! No wasting clay in here!

Tomorrow is the last day to order shirts to help support the Art Department and Art Club! Shirt forms and money can be given to Mrs. Brumbaugh in room A118 or dropped off in her mailbox in the office. Checks need to be made out to QHS Art Club!
