We are in Wenatchee today with our Wenatchee Apple Award Nominees! 115 students from Ephrata, Wenatchee, Eastmont, Moses Lake, Chelan, Quincy, and Chelan are here! Students will learn who wins in the following categories this evening. Quincy Nominations: Ruby Gonzalez for Lead Performer in a Musical, JazzLynn Padron and Belle Rollins for Supporting Role in a Musical, Jasmine Vazquez Navarro for Lead Performer in a Play, Owen Yeates for Supporting Performer in a Play, Elizabella Perez for Lightboard Operator, and Odessa Lybbert for Props Lead! Not to mention our cast and crew of Footloose are up for Best Overall Musical and our cast and crew of Puffs is up for Best Overall Play! We will keep you posted! 🎭✨

Today we welcomed Broadway Performing and Creative Artist, Greer Gisy! Greer was the Dance Supervisor for the ‘Angelica’ Tour of the Broadway Touring Company for Hamilton. 15 students participated in a workshop with her today to learn choreography from Hamilton, and had a Q&A about working in the theatre industry! We appreciate you so much and were truly inspired! Thank you so much for coming out and gifting us with your talents, knowledge, and time!

We are so proud of our Drama II class and their staged reading of “Too Many Detectives in the Murder Mansion” tonight! Special thanks to student Valeria Valladolid for running sound cues, student Owen Yeates for being Actor Support, Mr. Goslin assisting with microphones, Mrs. Goslin and Mr. Weber for helping with front of house, Mrs. Miller for all her help in the classroom, and our Mrs. Marple costume, Mrs. Youngren for allowing us to use the choir room to rehearse for the last five weeks, and Justin Blalock for setting up all our sound needs! Theatre is truly collaborative! 🎭✨🙂‍↔️🕵🏽‍♀️🔎
