No surprise here, since it happened well over a month ago, but my time at WMEX has come to an end.
More than anything, I want to thank the listeners who welcomed me into their lives every day. Whether we were sharing songs, stories, memories, or simply keeping each other company, you made these past six years truly unforgettable. Together, we created a place where nostalgia, laughter, and genuine connection could thrive, and where loneliness never had the final word.
I also want to say how grateful I am for my colleagues at WMEX. I had the privilege of working alongside talented, dedicated, and caring people who poured their hearts into what they did every single day. Their professionalism, creativity, friendship, and support meant more to me than I can put into words, and I will always appreciate the time we shared together.
To everyone who listened to my endless ramblings about music, pets, and vets, thank you for your patience, your kindness, and your unwavering support. There were challenges along the way, as there always are, but the memories we made and the community we built will stay with me forever.
For those who hoped this was all just a bad joke, I’m sorry to say it isn’t. But I truly believe that good people and meaningful connections have a way of finding each other again.
I don’t know where our paths will cross next, but I do know this: the friendships, conversations, and moments we shared have meant the world to me.
Until we meet again my friends, God bless the people of Boston, our Veterans and most importantly, We The People!
All the best to the rest from Your friend, Ben
