Last night felt special. ✨

Our gala wasn’t just a celebration of a season of work — it felt like a reflection of where Queens Theatre is headed. New energy, new connections, and a room full of people who genuinely wanted to stay, talk, laugh, and be together long after the program ended.

Huge gratitude to our dedicated staff whose care, expertise, and teamwork made the night flow so beautifully. This kind of work only happens because of people who believe in creating meaningful experiences for others.

More moments from the night soon. ❤️🎭

We also want our artists, neighbors, and community members in the room.

The Queens Theatre Gala is a meaningful opportunity to experience the institution up close—to reflect on the work being done, the communities being embraced, and the direction the theatre is moving toward.

Access matters to us. Spaces like this should remain reachable to the people, artists, and audiences who shape the cultural life of Queens.

A limited number of discounted community tickets are available.

Queens Theatre presents
Organ Monk Sings
Saturday, May 23rd at 8:00 PM
Cabaret Theater
Tickets: $25 (includes a $2 per ticket fee)

Organ Monk Sings is a concert centered on the music of Thelonious Monk, reimagined for Hammond organ and voice. The project represents a new phase of Gregory Lewis’s long-running Organ Monk series, integrating voice not as a featured novelty but as a narrative and dramatic element, situating Monk’s repertoire within a theatrical, listening-forward context.

Last night at Queens Theatre, our B-Side became a vibrant extension of the evening’s mainstage celebration.

Following the mainstage event, many audience members with deep connections to Mexican culture made their way into this intimate space within the theatre, where the celebration continued through music, poetry, and shared community.

With a live mariachi band setting the tone, guests sang traditional songs, offered words from their phones and from memory, and transformed the B-Side into a joyful tribute to the culture and spirit of Cinco de Mayo.

Moments like this reflect the civic role of the arts: creating welcoming spaces where communities feel seen, traditions are honored, and cultural pride can be expressed together.

At Queens Theatre, we believe meaningful engagement happens not only on our largest stages, but also in the smaller spaces where connection can flourish.

Shout out our B-Side Open Stage host and our DYNAMIC mariachi band

We are thrilled to be a grantee of World Cup for All Community Grant Program!

This summer, as the world’s most watched sporting event – the World Cup - comes to our region, with this funding Queens Theatre will bring our neighbors inside our institution to watch matches together, build community, and share in the excitement—while also bringing the celebration directly to Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens.

We are grateful to ABNY for helping make this possible and for bringing the excitement of the World Cup to Queens!
