Queens Theatre

Queens Theatre Queens' premier venue for world-class theatre, dance, cultural and family programming

Queens speaks more languages, rhythms, and stories than almost anywhere else on Earth. 🌍

This fall, we bring this diversity to the stages of Queens Theatre.

Colombian twin sisters Las Áñez open the season, building entire songs live with nothing but a loop pedal. Cuban vocalist Xiomara Laugart channels Celia Cruz, with her son Axel Tosca leading the band. Spanish flamenco icon Charo brings decades of star power to the Claire Shulman stage, and illusionist Vitaly Beckman — who’s fooled Penn & Teller more than once — arrives by way of Belarus, Israel, and Canada.

Jazz runs deep all season: Brooklyn’s own Allan Harris, Chicago’s Tammy McCann honoring Ella, Sarah, Dinah, and Billie, and trumpeter Jumaane Smith bringing New Orleans to a Mardi Gras night. For Valentine’s, Uptown Royalty and Liza & Willie turn up the tropical heat.

Calpulli Mexican Dance Company returns with the city’s biggest Día de Mu***os celebration. Darrah Carr Dance Company reimagines Irish tradition for St. Patrick’s season. San Jose Taiko brings their drums from California for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Titan Theatre Company, our resident company, opens Thornton Wilder’s Our Town. Monkey King: The Kung Fu Musical kicks off Lunar New Year with the first-ever female Monkey King. Families can catch Rock and Roll Playhouse’s kid-sized Beatles sing-along and Lightwire’s glow-in-the-dark Dino-Light. And stay tuned for the submission period of our New Play Development series, turning 25 this year!

This is the diversity that reflects and celebrates Queens--on our stages, in the heart of the borough. 🎭

One of the most important things a theatre can do is invest in the imagination of young people.

At Show Stoppers, children create an original musical in just one week. Along the way, they build confidence, learn to collaborate, solve problems, and discover the power of their own voices.

This is more than arts education—it's community-building and a reflection of Queens Theatre's commitment to empowering young people through creativity.

As we celebrate our final week, we're grateful to Director of Education Ricardo Hinojosa and our incredible teaching artists for making this transformative experience possible every summer. We can't wait to see our young artists take the stage! 🎭✨

ONE NATION. ONE WORLD. ONE QUEENS.

The Unisphere has long stood as a symbol of connection—a reminder that our communities are strongest when we come together.

Nestled beside one of Queens' most iconic landmarks, Queens Theatre is proud to be a place where people of every background gather to experience stories, music, dance, and culture.

This Independence Day, we celebrate not only our nation, but the diverse communities that make Queens extraordinary.

Happy Fourth of July from all of us at Queens Theatre.

👕 We're thinking about producing more Queens Theatre merchandise.

Flashback Summer Fridays ☀️

Every Friday this summer, we’re looking back at the moments that made our season unforgettable while getting excited for what’s ahead.

We’re kicking things off by revisiting our Theatre for All TFA Celebration—a joyful culmination of creativity, collaboration, and the incredible artists who brought their talents to the stage. From rehearsals to the final performance, this celebration reminded us that theatre is at its best when everyone has a place to shine.

Queens Theatre’s New American Voices and Theatre For All initiatives proudly presented an afternoon of readings showcasing nine short plays. Chosen from nearly 400 submissions, these impactful new works captured the spirit of the diverse disability community through humor, drama, empathy, and deep insight. We were honored to bring the work of these gifted writers, innovative directors, and exceptional actors to Queens Theatre audiences.

What has been your favorite Queens Theatre memory this season? Share it with us in the comments. 💙
