Nested Moon Gallery I am a mixed media collage artist who takes things that seem odd, broken or isolated and finds a place for them within new contexts.

I place things that are familiar in unfamiliar surroundings to awaken the sleeping parts of ourselves into something deeply true. There are images and papers and fabrics I love so much that I want to eat them, and creating a collage can be a way to possess them while also revealing my most authentic self. My hope is that one of my pieces will give voice and form to something deep and true in you,

and that by hanging it on your wall you are in some way giving permission to that part of you. Art-either your own or that of others- can free the imagination to explore aspects of ourselves that are begging to be listened to.

When people move house, they make a hierarchy without realizing it.

Some things get donated, some get stored, some make the journey regardless of whether they make logical sense in the new space.

Art almost always travels. It is rarely the practical choice that moves with you. It is the things that meant something. Has that been true for you?

People sometimes feel they need to articulate why they want a particular work before they permit themselves to buy it. That's not how it works.

The attraction doesn't need a defense. You don't need to explain "Rabbits" to someone who asks—you just have to know it belongs in your space.

The revelations tend to arrive later on...

The finished work is not the whole story. It is the end of a longer, quieter process that most collectors never see.

When you live with Pride & Humility, you are living with the result of the artistic process and all that comes with it.

Interior designers often talk about sightlines. They're the natural path your eye travels when you enter or move through a room.

Most people never think about this consciously, but they feel it. Art placed directly in a sightline changes a room immediately.

Placement is as intentional as the work itself.
