Director Christina Sheehan’s helms the staging of Stephen Schwartz’s 1972 musical masterpiece about one young man’s journey to be extraordinary. She utilizes the enduring mythos of the traveling theatre/circus troupe and immersive ensemble storytelling to shine the looking glass on the story’s sociopolitical allegories, in all of their musical theater magnificence.
