🧵😩 Is your sewing machine tension driving you CRAZY?!

Loops on the back? 🫠 Thread showing where it shouldn’t? Puckered fabric? Uneven stitches? DON’T TOUCH THAT TENSION DIAL YET! 👀

Tension problems are one of the most frustrating parts of sewing—but the solution isn't always adjusting the tension. Sometimes the real culprit is incorrect threading, the wrong needle, a poorly wound bobbin, lint, or mismatched thread and fabric.

🪡 Before adjusting your tension, check:
✔️ Is your machine threaded correctly?
✔️ Did you thread it with the presser foot UP?
✔️ Is your needle the correct type and size?
✔️ Is the bobbin inserted correctly?
✔️ Are your thread and fabric compatible?
✔️ Is there lint or thread caught in the tension area?

✨ Then test on a scrap! Make one small adjustment at a time and sew another test line before changing anything else.
