What’s your favorite color?! Phase one of my colors experiment, complete! 66 unique, handmixed color blends. (So much math.) What a labor of love. 2nd phase in the works. 100% extra fine merino, some with 15% nylon for socks, fi*****ng weight, dk, worsted.

And it’s done!!! Hallelujah!! 😂 Blocking and then just have to weave in a million ends. This pattern was great. I absolutely love the sweater. I absolutely hated holding the tweedy lace weight yarn with the gray dk. It was so tangly all the time. Maybe I’ll make it again in my own hand dyed yarn sometime…

I’ve spent the last couple of days working on my giant micro-skein project, and version one is almost done! It is so cool!! I’ll post on that soon. But today I had some fun with some color blends I made up, math-ed a lot, experimented with applications, and experimented with leftover dyes from my micros (blue skein). My mom chose the autumnal skein, 5 color blends🤪 and Nancy chose the greenish teal blend. They all came out so fun! They’re not fully dry yet so they’ll lighten up a little. Stay tuned. What colors should I try next??

Got some work done today on the first day of school! 50 of 66 micro skeins measured and wound. Stay tuned to see what I have in store for them!! It was a gorgeous day to work outside while the kids swam after school. I hope you all enjoyed the sun after yesterday’s rain! ☀️🧶🌈
