The Westchester Choral Society was founded by Sarah Stewart Bowne in 1942 to perform Bach’s B Minor Mass with 15 singers.

Today we are 60 singers performing works from Baroque to contemporary, presenting concerts in the winter and spring seasons

We're three weeks away from Show Up, Sing Out!

Yes, that's really all you have to do. Just show up and be prepared to sing out!

We welcome all singers - those with years of experience and those who have never tried singing beyond the shower. It's a learning experience for all of us.

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to sing in a choir - show up and sing out!

If you've ever fantasized about being able to belt out a high note - show up and sing out!

If you've ever wished you could look at a piece of music and sing it without plunking each note on a piano - show up and sing out! (And keep practicing as sight singing is a skill that requires work)

New for Westchester Choral Society: music education! We are starting with two sessions - Tuesday September 1 and Tuesday September 8 at 7pm. This will be a fun way to learn about reading music, sight reading, best practices as a choral singer, and more. We welcome anyone interested in singing - non-members are invited to join. And best of all - it’s free! These sessions will be led by our own artistic director David Baranowski. So mark your calendars!

Fantastic Summer Sing of the Mozart Requiem with our own David Baranowski conducting! So much fun and it was even better that so many singers were very familiar with the piece. Until summer '27!

Next up is our 26/27 season. Our December concert will be on Dec 5. The program includes: Vivaldi Magnificat, Dan Forrest Requiem for the Living, and some tuneful holiday fare. Save the date!

Tonight at 7:00 pm is the final Summer Sing of 2026! The piece is the Mozart Requiem, conducted by our own music director David Baranowski.

Get out of the heat and join us in a cool environment for some fun singing!

I sang with the Hudson Chorale the Carmina Burana - do you recognize the music? what movie is it from?
Music is one of my passions. I spent over a decade as a violinist and I have switched to singing the past 25+ yrs. It makes my soul happy!
120 singers in collaboration with the Westchester Choral Society and a wonderful orchestra.
