The Performing Arts Center, Purchase College Experience something real. Building a creative community and presenting world-class performing arts on the campus of SUNY Purchase.
(222)

The Performing Arts Center, Purchase College, a four-theatre complex, is the major professional, non-profit arts presenter in the Southeastern New York--Southwestern Connecticut region, and the largest program in the SUNY system. Each theatre is specifically designed for the optimum presentation of a different type of performance, enabling the presentation of any kind of event. The Purchase PAC pr

esents a broad range of performances that engage, challenge, and educate as well as entertain, offering music, dance and theatre to audiences from Westchester and the surrounding communities. Music presenting features leading artists of our time as well as emerging artists; as the major regional presenter of dance, programs have included only area appearances of several important traditional, contemporary, and folkloric companies; theatre presentations reflect a deep commitment to presenting innovative ensembles. The Purchase PAC’s on-going initiatives also encompass artist partnerships, residency activities, and commissions; creating opportunities for students to participate in the artistic process; increasing educational opportunities in the arts for k -12 students and multi-generational learners; and revitalizing efforts in the community to make the arts more accessible to broad and diverse audiences.

Meet PAC staff member and SUNY Purchase alum Janice Kahl!
When an employee is really on top of things, we may say she "practically runs the place." Well, Janice is both our Front of House Manager and our Operations Manager, so she literally does run this place. Whatever needs doing, she gets it done.

Think about what you feel when the lights go down and the curtain goes up. The thrill of anticipation, curiosity about what is to come. The performance begins. You are transported, everything else recedes, and you are part of a communal moment that is exhilarating, fleeting, and profoundly human.

Our 2026-2027 season invites you to experience something real. Tickets are on sale now.

If you think it just can't get any hotter, you haven't seen this yet.

Physically charged and sensual, suspenseful and passionate, Ballet Hispánico New York's CARMEN.maquia is a Picasso-inspired, contemporary take on Bizet’s beloved classic that fuses contemporary dance with nods to the Spanish paso doble and flamenco.

See it here on October 30. We'll keep the AC on.

Tickets for CARMEN.maquia and all other 2026-2027 events are on sale now.

Our 2026-2027 season will begin on October 17 with something unexpected...pirates!

"Treasure Island Reimagined: Jane Hawkins and the Pirate’s Gold" is a totally unique adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic. Three performers provide the voices, sound effects, and music, while 1,200+ comic-book panels blast one by one on a huge screen to tell a tale of danger and adventure that will have everyone on the edge of their seats...even your jaded middle-schooler.

Tickets for Treasure Island Reimagined and all other 2026-2027 events are on sale now.
