You can’t say welcome to your guests when you change ridiculous prices for drinks and foods—-which most zoos and attractions do. This will always be my policy as long as I own this zoo. The drink and snacks we sell are less than what you will be paying at the gas stations.

Although it has been slow due to this being historically slow month with unreal heat and intermittent Florida rain and wind storms, we have been getting great reviews—-thanks you for your patronage and your glowing words.

As much as I can, I like to interact with our guest and what I and my staff have notice is the economic challenges having effect on their mood and purchasing habits. We have definitely notice some guest holding back on purchases even tho we can see in their face that they really want to get what the kids want but can’t afford. We see the pain. Although we are not yet profitable, we will keep going out of our way to help as much as much as we can by helping them with free drinks, sun screens, bug sprays and even free gift of toys and apparels. And as always, we will never turn away anyone because they can’t afford the entry fee. You will pay what you can afford and if you can’t afford to pay, we will gladly let you enjoy our zoo free of charge.

Cyclura pinguis is one of the most critically endangered species of reptiles with an estimate of approximately 500 animals in the wild. We are truly honored to house these rare animals here at Iguanaland.
