Greystone Grand Gallery & Gifts is honored to present:
Patrick Siler: Small Works on Paper and Canvas
Join us Thursday, September 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Greystone Grand Gallery & Gifts, 245 S. Grand Avenue in Pullman, for the opening of a special exhibition and sale featuring original works by longtime Pullman artist and WSU Fine Arts professor Patrick “Pat” Siler.
The exhibition brings together small works on paper and canvas, some framed, selected from the remarkable collection of artwork that remained in Pat’s studio. The works have been affordably priced with the hope that Pat’s art can find new homes throughout the community he called home for so many years.
For more than three decades, Pat taught Fine Arts at Washington State University while developing a remarkable body of work of his own. His paintings, drawings, ceramics, prints, and carved works combined bold lines and color with humor, tension, storytelling, and an unmistakably individual view of everyday life.
His work has been exhibited internationally and is represented in major museum collections, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Seattle Art Museum. Here in Pullman, generations of artists knew him as a teacher, colleague, neighbor, and friend—and many of us know his work from the mural at Pine Street Plaza.
Following Pat’s passing earlier this year, the opportunity to share these pieces feels especially meaningful.
