PUEBLO, Colo. (Oct. 4, 2016) -- The most terrifying Halloween haunt to hit Colorado is coming to Pueblo County this October when “The Yard” opens its doors on Friday, Oct. 14. Created by Tomm
y G. Productions, the producers of Bands in the Backyard, The Yard will be a zombie-themed outdoor haunt located behind Giodone’s restaurant at 23344 E US Highway 50. It will consist of three haunted attractions – the Mesa Massacre Zombie Hunt, the Zombie Testing Facility and the Pumpkin Party – and the Party Barn. The Zombie Hunt lets visitors join their friends and others on a zombie hunting expedition aboard a deuce zombie truck, challenging them to shoot their way through impending attacks by the living dead. The Zombie Testing Facility consists of a maze of terror with zombie mutants, transmuted live animals and other unimaginable horrors around every corner. The Pumpkin Party offers tricks and treats for the entire family. For only $10 children will be able to select their favorite pumpkin, carve or decorate it with their family, take a family photo to commemorate their experience and enjoy other activities, such as the Pumpkin Buster hay bale slide, storytelling by the Pumpkin Pals, cotton candy, candied apples and more. At the center of The Yard will be the heated Party Barn where attendees 21 and over can enjoy drinks, music and spirits each night until midnight. The Yard officially opens on Friday, Oct. 14 and runs through Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31. Doors open at 7 p.m. each evening and close at midnight. The Pumpkin Party will open at 5 p.m. weekdays and at noon on Saturday and Sunday. It will close at midnight every day. Adult attractions start at $20. The Yard also will offer 10 percent discounts on all tickets to college students on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 14-15 and Friday, Oct. 21 with valid I.D. Other special events include a costume party on Saturday, Oct. 29 with cash and prizes available for the best-dressed attendees.
