“Smokey and Mochi.” An unlikely friendship that works due to a mutual love for fish. This is piece was made by cutting, painting and building separate layers of paper together to form a somewhat 3D painting. Available . If you’re doing the first Friday art walk you should stop in. The front “OG” gallery is featuring a group of amazing ceramic artists alongside the collective in the “Big Blo” gallery. There will be live music too!

I’m weirdly obsessed with sardines at the moment. I even have my students working on this exact project. It all started with a painting I did over the summer of a can of sardines on fine china. I think, sometimes I get stuck in a place and have to keep recreating it to discover the deeper symbolic meaning. Community, abundance, and a collective of like minded individuals is just scratching the surface of the message. This is piece will be available gallery holiday show that opens on Friday. Friday evening and all day Saturday I’ll be vending at the Beulah Arts and Crafts fair. I will have lots of these small works (under $50) as well as some affordable prints. You will also find ceramic work from Nathan Grisman () available for purchase in my booth. My favorite mug was made by Nathan and it would be so cool if you could come by and say hi while you browse all the arts and crafts made by local artisans. Hope to see you there!
