Kickass Film Fest Kick Ass Film Festivals is home to the 72 Hour Kick Ass Film Fest and the newly created Flick-A-Mania Flick-A-Mania reaches out to a broader audience.

Wake Up is located in Pueblo, Colorado.

72 Hour Kick-Ass Film Fest sets out to challenge and exhilarate filmmakers around the nation to write, shoot, and edit a short film based around prompts that you receive at the beginning of the festival date. Anyone can submit a film based around the genres we are accepting. Your film must have been made at maximum 2 years prior to the event.

Calling all Colorado filmmakers! We are hitting the road and bringing the community together for an epic series of events stretching across the Front Range, starting in Boulder, moving to Denver, heading down to Colorado Springs, and ending in Pueblo. Whether you are a director, cinematographer, actor, screenwriter, editor, composer, etc or even a business looking to hire a talented videographer, these events are where you need to be for networking and meeting new people. Make sure to mark your calendars! A massive thank you to our incredible venue partners; Rayback Collective, Blend.Co, and The Brit Pub—for hosting us and supporting local talent. Kickass Film Fest is growing, and we’re looking for passionate creatives, film lovers, organizers, and community builders to join our volunteer board.

This volunteer team will help support the events leading up to our 2027 Spring Festival, including:

Fall Meet & Greet networking events (Pueblo, Springs, Denver, Boulder)
Spring screening premiere events
Spring Festival Awards Show Planning
Note: You will not be part of the competition planning, but you can still participate in the competition.

This is a volunteer board, but as KAFF continues to grow, there may be opportunities to grow into official roles or expanded positions on a case-by-case basis.

Colorado filmmakers, it’s time to take over. Every year, we pour our own creative obsession into writing and directing the official festival promos. Crafting short fan films inspired by the movies, shows, and video games we love. But this year, we’re completely flipping the script and handing the director's chair over to you. We are officially opening the floor to CO-based directors and creators to pitch us your boldest, wildest concepts for a 5 to 7-minute short promo. We aren’t just looking for cool ideas; we’re looking for creative partners. We’re going to select 2 to 3 standout pitches, step into the trenches with you, and put our full production muscle behind bringing your vision to life.
