Last Thursday’s painting from painting with Marty. Great class to loosen up! It’s fun to experiment and play with palette knives! Marty posted all of our paintings together last week. All were great and very different.

This 8”x10” painting was from the first day of Daniel Keys workshop. It was a great setup at Scottsdale Artist School. Two students share a setup box to arrange your setup to paint. Daniel brought in tulips for the first day and the school had lots of props and fabric for backdrops. It was so much fun and met lots of people. I also met Kathy Anderson. What a treat.

Here’s the other small pot painting I didn’t get posted. I really like the rope work at the top of this pot which to me made it interesting. I like putting the Mexican rugs with the pots. I enjoy doing the pots like the last post, more simplified and then painting with a Mexican blanket. Then deciding what I want to paint larger.

I meant to post this a couple weeks ago. I just didn’t get it done because I was getting ready to go to a Daniel Keys workshop at Scottsdale Artist School. This is a small 8”x6” painting of a new pot I got with a couple shallots. Need to get some paintings done for my show at Fuel and Iron next month.

I’ve been painting quite a bit this week. This is one I promised to my niece for Christmas but wasn’t able to get done. This was her request, a skull with poinsettias. It’s a small 8”x6” painting because she lives in a small apartment. I’ve done 2 other small paintings of pots which I’ll post later.

Really loved painting this broken martini glass Thursday . We all had a different view and painted what parts of the setup we wanted. I choose to do a small 8”x6” canvas and only did the glass with olives and martini onions. Great to be back painting after the holidays. Mine was very busy. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.
