I’ve been wondering how to portray what divine love might actually feel like —
not just in words, but in presence.

This painting is my attempt to step into that question.

What does love feel like to you?

Opening night is tonight at the Compass Gallery.

When I dropped off this painting I got a preview of the show — there is some truly powerful work in this exhibition.

I’ll be there from 6–9pm tonight if you'd like to come say hello.

Whether I see you tonight or sometime this month, I highly recommend experiencing the show.

Today, I begin.

January 1 — the launch date I set for myself long before I knew how imperfect the path would look.

This work was created in borrowed hours — in a shared space with my son, a messy studio, good Jesus music, and light pouring in through the window. It was built through late nights after my kids were asleep, steady faith, and the kindness of people who carried things for me when I couldn’t.

I see God’s hand so clearly in the way forward was provided — not all at once, but step by step, light by light.

As a child, I dreamed of being both an artist and an adventurer. I didn’t know then how much courage it would take to begin before everything felt ready. But I believe this season is exactly where I was being led.

If you’ve felt called to start something — even in a space that feels small, shared, or imperfect — let this be your reminder: you don’t have to have it all figured out. You only have to follow the light God gives you.

This is just the beginning.
Share it with me — and start yours.

I don’t always see where God is leading while I’m in the middle of the work.

But every once in a while, He offers a moment of clarity—quiet, kind, and deeply affirming.

This gallery opening is one of those moments for me.

If you’d like to come, the doors are open this Friday from 6–9 pm at the Compass Gallery (250 W Center St, Provo, Utah).

I wrote more about this experience and what it taught me on my blog, if you’d like to read.

A personal reflection on art, faith, and trusting God before the proof arrives—how a quiet prompting led to unexpected confirmation.

This felt like a milestone.

After we opened it, I propped the canvas against the wall—and both my kids just sat and looked at it for a long time. Watching their quiet interaction with my painting of Jesus reminded me why I create at all.

I ordered this as a test canvas print from my website, and seeing it finished—framed, tangible—made everything feel real.

Rooted in love, faith, and the hope of sharing light.

On Christmas, God became incarnate.

He was born—small, vulnerable, embodied—
and in that birth, love took on flesh.

Christ embodies love itself.

In Jesus Christ, love is not abstract.
It is relational.
Present.
Healing.
Near.

This ongoing series, Love Incarnate, is my attempt to explore that truth:
not only that God took on flesh—
but that He shows us how to love.

Joyfully.
Gently.
Completely.

Hello, and welcome.

For the past year, I’ve been quietly painting — not for an audience, but for my own heart.

What began as a personal exploration of my faith slowly became something deeper: a way of coming to know Jesus Christ more tenderly, more personally, and more honestly than I ever had before.

Many of these paintings came during a season of questioning whether the time and sacrifice were worth it — especially as a mother and a wife. And yet, on the other side of that season, I can say it has been worth it.

This work has strengthened my testimony, softened my heart, and brought Christ closer to me — especially as Christmas approaches.

I’m choosing to be brave and share this space now — to share art, faith, and light with anyone who might be seeking a little of it.

I’m so glad you’re here.
