Artist Bio 🌸

My name is Noemí Robles. I am primarily a landscape oil painter. I took my first painting classes in college, over 20 years ago. Even though I loved it, painting was put on the back burner for years, as I dedicated my time to my new family and career in elementary education.

Seven years ago, I started taking painting courses again and have been selling my work on my website and at Gallery 25 in Ogden for the past 5 years. Among my favorite things to paint are our beautiful mountains, Great Salt Lake, my flower garden, and wildlife.

I’ve always loved visual and performing arts, so I’m excited to be part of this elegant Evening of the Arts event. Looking forward to meeting others who also have an appreciation of the
arts.

Our next dancer to be featured is Anna! ✨

Born in the bayou and raised in the southeast, Anna calls herself an Atlanta native and found a love for classical ballet when she was only 2 years old. Since then, she has been a part of several ballets including (but not limited to) Giselle, many years of The Nutcracker, and most recently appeared as the Lilac Fairy in UVCB’s The Sleeping Beauty. She also enjoys musical theatre, writing music, and figure skating. Anna graduated from BYU in 2021 with a BA in Public Relations and currently works with Utah Lake Authority as the Outreach Coordinator.
She would like to thank her parents, her sweet boyfriend Ethan, and her amazing ballet friends for their love, support, and snack sharing!

✨Meet the artists!! 🎨 Meet Chrystal Dawn!

📍 Where are you from? Stockton, CA, but I’ve lived in Clearfield the last few years.
⏰ How long have you been doing your art form/when did you start? I’ve been doing art professionally for the last 10 or so years but have always been interested in it. When I was a kid, my grandma would take me to Barnes and Noble so I could pour over the large Renaissance books in the art section.
🖼️ What’s your favorite piece you’ve performed or created? I think I have several favorites for different reasons. I have a painting of a Blue Jay that is surrounded by Camp Robbers, who are taking the Blue Jay’s feathers. This piece is called “To Give and Give and Give.” It’s for those of us that give too much, and the people that take advantage of that.
🏔️ What do you do out of your art form? I love to travel, read, write and hike.
🤝 What part are you most excited for in this event? Meeting artists and collectors.

Emergence Coalition's "Evening of the Arts" is less than two weeks away! We are so excited to be a part of this elegant event! Come join us this next weekend, Friday September 6th from 6:30-9:30 PM at The Hive Collaborative in Provo, UT. It will be a formal art show and live performance featuring local emerging artists. Get your tickets now before seats sell out!

One of the co-directors of Utah Valley Civic Ballet, Janessa Meiners is the producer and choreographer for the show, and several of the Senior Company dancers are performing the pieces.

Emergence Coalition is a project of Utah Valley Civic Ballet, and we hope to make the "Evening of the Arts" an annual event.

Dancer Bios✨
Janay is a gown designer and girl-mom of 2 who still puts on her pointe shoes a few times a week, despite proclaiming herself a “washed-up dancer”. She calls Provo home. 30 years of ballet has given her many great experiences, some of her favorites being performing as Odette/Odile in Swan Lake with Utah Valley Civic Ballet, performing with BYU’s Theatre Ballet Company, and most recently dancing principal roles in Coppélia and Sleeping Beauty with UVCBC. She has a deep love for supporting the arts, live music, dance, and for Downtown Provo, and is so excited to see these all come together at Evening of the Arts!
