A diptych by we were blessed to frame and hang. We wanted to unify the two parts with frame dimensions that were thinner towards the center, a technique we saw at a museum display some years back.
Finished with 22kt gold that shows some beautiful flecking, and Museum Optium acrylic that is light, non-reflective, UV protective, AND anti-shatter.

We just finished some beautiful maple panels for a client, who wanted the exxtra deep 3” sides, and a lil’ something to hold onto at the abc for ease of transport.
We finished the surface with a few coats of shellac, making it ready to take on primer coats and a paint!

Another special personal story to go with this frame project! Client wanted to surprise her wife with a gift to celebrate her retirement. He composed this poem, and we found a calligrapher who scribed it down beautifully.

We put it in a walnut frame with 22kt accents, a linen liner to soften the design, and museum glass to protect this special piece for many, many years to come!

Side note: Thaylene was super helpful to me while I was at BYU, helping me with financial aid and student employment. Will always remember her for that!

A very special project! A client brought in this beloved self-portrait by his wife. We didn’t have anything that fit his description of her perfectly, so we made a new frame design just for her!
We carved this thin mahogany frame, and softened the whole look with a warm ivory linen liner and mat. We put it behind an anti-reflective, UV, shatterproof plexiglass to protect it for decades to come.

This Wayne Kimball collaborative piece is housed in a unique frame of solid ebony. Ebony is extremely dense, oily, and quite brittle, making it difficult on tools and challenging to glue. The client had a vision of using the wood for this particular piece, and so we bravely forged ahead!
We designed it to complement the sculptural elements in the image, giving it a clean, classical design. After polishing to 2000 grit, it gives off a lustrous, satin shine. Client loved how it turned out, and so do we!

A pair of vintage prints our client bought from a trip to Switzerland. The design was to be matched with an English cottage-style interior, so it has to have some color and a lot of warmth.

We suggested a carved white oak frame for both pieces, but with mats tailored to each one. The result is a harmonious and unique duo!

A client found these vintage anatomical prints while in Paris. She challenged us to restore and frame them as a couple.
We floated them off the back mat to give them greater presence, and included linen throughout the design for warmth. A classic walnut frame finished off the simple, elegant design.
I love the colors of the prints, and how understated everything else around it is!
