Character descriptions
MATTEO: Late 20s
A waiter and the younger brother of Carlo. Optimistic, imaginative, and dreaming of creating opera. He's a dreamer who sees possibilities everywhere—and doesn't always see the practical problems standing in his way.

CARLO: Early 30s
Matteo's older brother and the restaurant's chef. He's the pragmatic one. He knows restaurants don't fund themselves and feels a deep responsibility to keep the family dream alive.

THE FORK: 50s–60s
A restaurant critic with a reputation for destroying restaurants with a single review. But that overbearing exterior is a mask for something that has been hidden away for far too long.

MAMA: 60s
Carlo and Matteo's Mama, she still clings fiercely to life in her home country—with broken English, a loving heart, and a glass of vino.

EVA SPAMONI: Mid-20s
The Fork's assistant editor. Eva is frustrated by her boss's lack of appreciation. She struggles with confidence and often appears timid, but underneath that quiet exterior is a warrior who may be capable of calling her own shots.

JANEY LASKOWITZ: Late 20s
The plant lady. Janey has more side hustles than you can shake a stick at. She's enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and always ready to lend a hand.

JACQUES L'AMOUR: 30s
The owner of the French restaurant next door. Young, pompous, condescending, and absolutely convinced that his restaurant is superior to the brothers and their little Italian establishment. He also impersonates a female city health inspector.

OFFICER MARTIN: 30s
A local city beat cop. Amiable enough, he's annoyed whenever something interferes with what remains of Little Italy's familiar rhythm.

We're excited to announce in collaboration with members of the CAPS Program- auditions for our newest YouTube series: The Promposal! Find your perfect pair for the winter formal dance! You will be able to play games, make friends, and have the best dance ever!

Auditions are October 16th 3-6 pm and October 17th 4-7 pm @ The Hive Collaborative, and are restricted to High School Students who are currently enrolled, and are willing to purchase a ticket to the Winter Ball.

It's BACK!!! And better than ever!!
We are seeking actors for THE FORK, a musical farce (With a newly revised script!) about two brothers, a struggling Italian restaurant, and the terrifying restaurant critic who stands between them and disaster.
Tech week will be May 26th-29th, June 1st-2nd. Performances will begin June 3rd and will be every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a matinee Saturday afternoons until June 26th, for a total of 19 performances.

All roles are paid. We're looking for performers with strong comedic instincts, musical ability, and a willingness to make bold choices!

The first round of auditions will be by video submission! Please fill out the form below to submit:

1. A short comedic musical selection
Sing 8 of a song in the style of a musical comedy.

3. A reading of the provided sides for one character. (linked on the form below)

You do not need to be a professional musical-theater performer to audition. We're interested in performers who can: Sing confidently and with personality, make bold comedic choices, and most importantly: be willing to PLAY. This is a musical farce, so don't be afraid to make a big choice. We'd rather see a sincere, fun, imperfect performance than a technically perfect one with no personality.
