Excited to be at the Weaver Library Community Health Fair in East Providence today with my little helper, sharing our class with local families.

Happy National Senior Citizens Day 💛

One of my favorite things about Bach & Boogie is that the seniors aren’t there just to watch.

They shake. They sing. They laugh. They get to know the kids - and the kids get to know them.

Week after week, we get to see little friendships start to form. It’s little ones bringing shakers, responding to a wave from a senior friend, sharing the little metal triangle and striker between the two. Every week it’s sitting together, listening to beautiful music as a group.

That’s really the heart of Bach & Boogie.

Here’s to our older friends who make these classes what they are. 🎶💛

Bach & Boogie is a weekly music class for ages 0–4 where children explore Bach, Mozart, Debussy, Vivaldi, jazz, folk music, and more through movement, play, and curiosity.

We hold our classes inside local senior living communities, where music becomes something generations share together.

🎶 A different kind of music class is coming to East Providence.

Bach & Boogie brings babies, toddlers, parents, and older adults together for a joyful weekly music class - classical favorites, movement, and real connection across generations.

Sometimes a toddler carries a shaker across the room to an older adult, and for a second, everyone lights up at once. That’s the whole idea.

Little ones don’t have to sit still. They can dance, explore, listen, or just take it in. Every child joins in their own way.

📍 Tockwotton on the Waterfront - Wednesdays at 10:00 AM
📍 The Loft at Linn (Aldersbridge) — Fridays at 10:00 AM

Both classes will be led by local mom and music lover, Jazzmin.

This brings me back 🥹

Bach and Boogie came from moments like this with my daughter, now 3. My wife saw how much I loved playing piano with her and encouraged me to consider starting a music class for littles, and a journey started from there.

And now we have our newest little boogie-er, my baby boy, now less than a month old. He is so sweet and squishy and is already listening to my Bach playlist most days 🎶

I’m so excited to get to know my son. Thank you for making a good one! 😊👏🌅

Today Bach & Boogie is at the New England Alliance conference.

A year ago, we had only run two classes, and we were still experimenting with our structure, flow, and philosophy.

Now we’re exploring how to bring more intergenerational music classes to senior living communities across New England.

It’s been really encouraging to hear reactions from people who have spent decades in the senior living world:

“I’ve never seen something like this here before!”

“Okay, I’ve been waiting patiently for you to come back because I’ve been dying to know what Bach & Boogie is!”

“One of our homes has so many former teachers - I just know they would love this.”

“I believe in this. This WILL work.”

As a newcomer to the senior living space, it’s been heartening to receive such a warm response from people in the industry.

Seeing toddlers, parents, and seniors sharing music across generations still feels magical every time I see it. 🎶
