👕 Why did you audition for “Dear Evan Hansen”?

Dear Evan Hansen was one of two shows that introduced me to theater and made me realize I wanted to sing for the rest of my life.

👕 What has been your favorite part of the process and why?

I've really enjoy working with such a funny cast. Usually I’m "the funny guy" so it's nice being made to laugh more often. I also appreciate how supportive everyone has been. Obviously this has been a very challenging role for me and everyone in the cast has helped me with my confidence and overall comfortability within the role and on stage.

👕 Why should people come see this show?

Because it's gonna be freakin' lit and also make you cry. So many incredible voices coming together.

👕 Why did you audition for “Dear Evan Hansen”?

I was excited for the opportunity to tell this story, and being one of the first groups in the area to perform it is really special!

👕 What has been your favorite part of the process and why?

Diving deep into some really difficult topics, within a group of people that makes it so safe to live in that head space. The ways we support, encourage and lift each other up has made this a really special process.

👕 Why should people come see this show?

This story is so raw and real, with songs that will resonate with everyone in some way long after the final bows are taken. It’ll make you think, it’ll make you laugh and cry, and the massive talent onstage will make you wish for more chances to see them!

👕 Why did you audition for “Dear Evan Hansen”?

I have had the opportunity to work with young people for most of my nursing career. There have been plenty of times where I saw teenagers going through difficult times alone or rather they felt they were alone. I resonated with this show and as a nurse, particularly Heidi, as I wanted the opportunity to express that no one is ever alone. There is a community of people who will be behind you the moment you reach out for help.

👕 What has been your favorite part of the process and why?

There is something so special about this show. There are actors of all different ages and yet in the rehearsal room we all become kids again. This show is emotionally tough and sometimes we just need to give ourselves space to be silly. I am thankful our production team allows and creates a safe space for that.

👕 Why should people come see this show?

The show opens up the opportunity for people to realize they’re not alone in their battles. Everyone has something they’re working through and if you ask for help, you’ll find a village. Come prepared to laugh, cry, and realize that you are not alone.

👕 Why did you audition for “Dear Evan Hansen”?

I have always been a fan of the Dear Evan Hansen score, but I primarily wanted to throw myself into a show that explores some heavy topics. I've personally always struggled with my mental health, feeling like an impostor in my day-to-day life, and have definitely had my fair share of debilitating anxiety. Being able to explore these topics in such a caring environment with some of the most talented people I've ever met has truly been a game changer!

👕 What has been your favorite part of the process and why?

My favorite part of the process has been connecting with every single cast and crew member! Really getting to know our casts, sharing about our lives and our triumphs and struggles through all walks of life has been so wonderful to experience. I also love singing this score - I'm mainly a classical-oriented girlie, so singing some contemporary stuff has been challenging in the absolute best possible way!

👕 Why should people come see this show?

At its core, Dear Evan Hansen is a story about truly wanting to feel seen, understood and connected with the people around us. It's uncomfortable, it gets messy, but it's deeply human and I think there's always an element that people will see themselves in. We also have the most talented two casts on the face of the planet that have made this process such a joy! ❤️

I auditioned for Dear Evan Hansen because the soundtrack has always resonated with me and I find the storytelling of each character so beautiful, complex and human.

My favorite part of this process so far has been working with so many creative and wonderful people who have the same love for this show as I do!

People should come to see this show because it is a story I think everyone can find a piece of themselves in. Our cast and crew has put so much heart and hard work into this process, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience this show with us.

When I first heard about auditions for Dear Evan Hansen, I was excited because it is one of my favorite shows being put on at one of my favorite places to do theater. It has been a dream show for me for a long time, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to perform in this show.

👕 What has been your favorite part of the process and why?

My favorite part of the process has been getting to know all of my cast mates and making new friends. Everyone in the cast is so talented and kind.

People should come see this show because of the amazing cast. It is such a beautiful show, and the talent will blow you away.
