Art Has Life is proud to present our first virtual paint night (IG live) on Friday, April 16th 6:30-8:30pm! If you need free materials, please fill out the google form in our bio by April 12 (tonight!!). We'll have an instructor to guide participants in creating the chosen art piece, but you are free to make anything you’d like during the time. Finals are coming up so this is a perfect way to relax and paint with your friends as the semester comes to an end. Hope to see y'all there! 🐝🌸🌷💛

Who are we? • Community Outreach Officer • Hey everyone! My name is Imani and I’m a junior from Fort Collins, Colorado, concentrating in public health. I’m super excited to join Art Has Life this year as the Community Outreach Officer! In my free time I love to paint, draw, and watch anime. Art has always been a creative outlet for me and I’ve found it even more important while in quarantine this summer. Gift giving is one of my five love languages and I love to make art for anyone who asks! I look forward to meeting everybody and putting on some fun events!

Who are we? • Co-Vice President • Hey everyone! My name is Dashaun Simon. I am a senior studying biomedical engineering, co-president of S.O.C.A, Students of Caribbean Ancestry, and the vice co-president of Art has Life. I also love arts! Everything from theater to poetry to music to paintings I love it all and I’m really excited to meet you all so that we can make beautiful projects together. I believe art can breathe life into any and all places and, especially during these times, I’m excited and ready to bring some life back into our community!

Who are we? • Co-Vice President • Hello everyone! My name is Nick Correia and I am a senior from Boston, Massachusetts majoring in Economics while on Pre-Med Track. I am proud and thrilled to serve as the Vice President of Art Has Life. I am always striving to ensure that all the events Art has Life puts together are accessible, both physically and financially, and are inclusive of the diverse and wide variety of backgrounds here at Brown. When I am not working on Art Has Life, you can usually find me studying in the Engineering Building or talking about a show that I have been watching on Netflix, while neglecting to do my schoolwork. On campus, I am a part of Class Coordinating Board, Brown EMS, the Meiklejohn Program, FirstGens@Brown E-Board, and Theater.

Who are we? • Founder and President • Hi everyone! My name is Gabrielle Tanksley. I’m a senior at Brown pursuing psychology and planning to re-enter the pre-med track after I graduate. I‘m passionate about languages, culture, and intersecting art forms.
I love writing (mainly poetry and creative nonfiction), drawing, painting, etc. and I’m currently learning Mandarin Chinese, American Sign Language, and Spanish. When I’m not working, you can find me reading with a cup of coffee or tea or binging a range of tv shows and movie series (mainstream reality tv, comedies, animes, romcoms, foreign dramas, you name it).
I’m so excited to meet you all as we expand the definition of art, using our various interests and skills to bring life to ourselves and our communities!! :-)
