Everett is a cross-disciplinary, cross-generational, and cross-cultural ensemble of dance and theater artists creating, performing, teaching and engaging a diverse community through the arts. Guiding Everett’s mission is a deep belief in collaboration, experimentation and the artist’s role in creating a just, equitable and joyous future. Our Company, Stage and School work in concert to build and s

upport this vision. We offer a laboratory and classroom where new ideas, new forms and new artists flourish aesthetically and practically, and are continually tested through performance and forums. We strive to create a cohesive urban community through theater education and performance that transforms the lives of children, families, and theater artists. We believe the world needs artists, and artists should be fairly compensated for their essential work. Our Company, Stage, and School are based in a former carriage house at 9 Duncan Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island. The Carriage House is an open, generative space for people of every financial status, a place where a one-room schoolhouse becomes a university, and a neighborhood becomes the world.

After 3 incredible years of artistry, community, healing, and unforgettable moments, June Open Stage will officially be our last Open Stage… until further notice. 🖤

To every artist, audience member, volunteer, host, and supporter who helped make this platform what it became — thank you for growing with us and believing in the vision. 🎭🙌🏽

Join us one last time as we celebrate everything Open Stage has meant to Everett and send this chapter off the right way. This isn’t goodbye forever — just the closing of one beautiful chapter. New events and experiences are on the way, so stay tuned.🎤

We had to give Richie his own moment because whew… the energy, the presence, the performance — all of it deserved a spotlight of its own. From the second he touched the stage, he had the room locked in and reminded us exactly why live artistry hits different. Some performances don’t just entertain, they pull you in… and this was definitely one of those moments.

JUNE OPEN STAGE PRESENTS: His Healing Out Loud 💙🌱

This month, we’re creating space for stories that often go unspoken. Centered around Men’s Mental Health, His Healing Out Loud is a night dedicated to vulnerability, strength, expression, and the power of being seen and heard.

Healing doesn’t always happen in silence. Sometimes it sounds like poetry. Sometimes it sounds like music. Sometimes it sounds like truth spoken into a microphone.

We’re honored to feature our headliner Jabubu — rapper, singer, lyricist, and artist dedicated to his craft. Through powerful storytelling and authentic expression, Jabubu brings music that speaks beyond the surface and connects where words alone often can’t.

(RECAP 1/3) What a vibe🔥 Last month’s Open Stage felt like more than just a show — it felt like an artistic vacation getaway. One moment we were being transported through different cultures, the next through different art forms, sounds, stories, and energy.
