Exciting opportunity this week from Brown Arts Initiative and Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship.

The Brown Arts Initiative (BAI) and the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship (NCE) are excited to announce a new pilot program: the Pop-Up Challenge, a 24-hour creative initiative for the Brown community to come together to connect, collaborate, and have some fun.

As our lives temporarily shift to a virtual world, that doesn't mean we have to stop making art or innovating on everyday challenges! BAI and NCE aim to provide an outlet for artists and entrepreneurs to continue working together creatively, while we are away from Brown's campus. We welcome all students to join us.

The Pop-Up Challenge will begin Thursday, April 2 at 12:00 pm EDT and end on Friday, April 3 at 3:00 pm EDT. The challenge will be followed up with a Pop-up Challenge Debrief, moderated by Deb Mills-Scofield '82, Mentoring Maven with the NCE, on Friday at 4:00 pm EDT via Zoom.

Hello Arts Community!

While we recognize the seriousness of our current situation, we are hopeful that together we can start to envision new ways of engaging with the arts.

With that in mind, Brown Arts Initiative is excited to roll out a series of new opportunities and ways you can work with us. Students, faculty and departments can now apply to partner with BAI to receive support for arts-based projects, programs, and research that would otherwise not be possible.

Think lofty. Think unusual. Think serious. Think fun. Think towards the future. Additional information can be found online here: https://sites.google.com/brown.edu/baideas/home

Stay safe, stay healthy, and we look forward to hearing from you!
