The full schedule has been revealed.
Blackbeard’s Freak Show Festival begins September 2 at Vermont Freedom Campground, and the world we have spent the year building is almost ready to open.
Attached to this email, you’ll find the complete day-by-day schedule for all six days of the festival.
This is more than a collection of performances.
It is a journey through the world of the beautiful abnormal.
WEDNESDAY: THE CARAVAN ARRIVES
Cross the Gate, claim your place, meet the people who will become your festival family, and gather for the official welcome.
THURSDAY: THE WORLD AWAKENS
Explore the campground, join Blackbeard’s Pool Party, follow the Villain’s Compass, and let the first full night carry you toward Giant’s Fire.
FRIDAY: TRUTH OVER COMFORT
Workshops, field games, comedy, burlesque, sideshow, live music, the Ringmaster’s Address, Lorelith’s Hot Tub Social, and the strange things waiting after dark.
SATURDAY: THE SPECTACLE
A full day of workshops, aerial arts, pool parties, belonging, feats of strength, Dead City, Reverend Dan, the Squidling Brothers, karaoke, Giant’s Fire, and Night Meats.
SUNDAY: THE RECKONING
One final full day of discovery, play, workshops, performance, the Journey to the Grove, Blackbeard’s Story Time, and the closing fire beneath the Vermont sky.
MONDAY: THE RETURN
Coffee, recovery, farewells, and the journey home carrying something you did not arrive with.
There will be live sideshow, burlesque, aerial performance, heavy metal, workshops, games, pool parties, storytelling, strange rituals, late-night fires, and moments that cannot be scheduled or explained in advance.
But the performances are only part of it.
The real purpose of this festival is to create a place where outsiders, artists, wanderers, misfits, and beautifully abnormal people can stop making themselves smaller.
A place to drop the performance.
A place to tell the truth.
A place to become more completely yourself.
A place to find your people.
