John Chamberlin Quilts John C. Chamberlin is a quilt maker based in Providence, Rhode Island. CFS
distributes the quilts to foster children and youth.

Chamberlin is a retired fulltime faculty member of the Department of Teaching + Learning in Art + Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). During the thirty-one years at RISD he held leadership positions in art and design education. During John’s academic career, he had a studio practice as a ceramic tilemaker, then, about nine years ago, as a quilter. He has created more than one hundr

ed twenty (120) pieces that have been donated to Child Family Services (CFS) of RI. John works with a non-profit, MY VERY OWN BLANKET, Westerville, Ohio, who has the formal relationship with CFS of RI. Opening this Saturday, November 1st! I have 6 quilts on view at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The exhibition is up through January 6th, 2026. So excited for my first exhibition in Maine! The gallery will be open Sunday and Monday-Thursday, 9a-3p.
