AND good morning again! This is the last of the three posters, where we see Kevin Macomber and Aaron Sokoll as Edwin and Beethoven Flying in their family photo. This really was a great great great cast.

20 years ago TODAY, only a few weeks after the worst attack on America in many of our lifetimes, Poorman Productions premiered this play, written by Cyrus Leddy and Rob Albanese (Directed by Kenny Cahoon and Cyrus Leddy) at AS220. In short, the play was about millionaires betting on whether or not a woman would die of cancer IN the room, or OUTSIDE of the room by the end of the night. I will always remember the reaction of one audience member who approached me after the show saying, "I like my comedy dark but...c'mon..." The timing was horrible but I love everyone that was involved with this play and am proud of it to this day.

UPDATE TIME AGAIN!

The zoom reunion is unfortunately being postponed to a TBD future date. You might have started to realize this as you haven't been contacted and the initial date is a week away. I realized as the date approached that getting 15 people on a zoom call might actually be the easy part- figuring out how to organize that chaos when only one person can talk at a time is the hard part. For this to be successful I really, probably, most likely, need to put more effort into planning than I have, which has been admittedly zero planning. The good news is that editing on the final two episodes will be starting THIS WEEK as the new computer has arrived and Final Cut has been downloaded. So that timetable has been moved up a bit. At this point, holding the reunion after the remainder of the footage is released is the new best plan, and it gives me time to come up with interview questions for everyone as well as solicit you guys for anecdotes you might want to talk about. So that's where we are. Okay, talk soon!

UPDATE TIME:

I want to thank everyone for supporting the internet premiere of the play on the twentieth anniversary last year. It was great talking to many of you in the chat and reconnecting after all this time. The play is still up on YouTube, and the live chat that occurred during the play is available (if watching on your computer) to anyone that likes having a commentary running.

Here's what's left to be done before we can talk OEDIPUS REX:

EPISODES 14 and 15!
For Christmas I picked up a 27 inch iMac with all the bells and whistles, along with Final Cut Pro (Thank you Jessa G!). and will be practicing my skills soon on the LAST TWO EPISODES of Baby's Changing; the Documentary. These episodes should hopefully look better than the ones that came before and will come out slowly (tentatively end of Februray, end of March) They will be longer episodes so the wait will be worth it. I think everyone in the cast is set to appear, including Emily's first appearance as Jim Nails, and the plot will lead directly into the play which has, of course, already released. There might also be a few more Behind the Scenes videos.

ZOOM REUNION!
I am planning this for January 28th at 7pm and will try to contact most of the alumni this week to gauge how many cast members can make it. It will be either live streamed to YouTube so our 3-5 fans can participate, or it will be recorded for later distribution if the general consensus is that we're worried we'll say something we regret. Anyway, Happy New Year, and I hope everyone has a better year than the last one! Talk soon.

Here's the itinerary:
Doors open at 7:30 at this link "Behind the Curtains" for early birds. This is where you'll see the program and hang out with the actors backstage for a few minutes. This video is 16 minutes long.
https://youtu.be/JTPUEdvhFGg

AT 8:00 Pm (eastern time) the play link will activate so you will need to switch to that one. The play is an hour and 50 minutes long. During the premiere it will be "live" when you click the link. So if you are late it will start in real time. (You can obviously rewind it yourself or watch it at any point in the future as well until Youtube comes up with a reason for it to be taken down) https://youtu.be/cgK0FXrnWcE

TONIGHT @ 8PM
This project has been a very strange and emotional one for me, looking back at this play after so many years. I watched the ending for the first time on Christmas morning before spending the entire day alone editing, trying to get this finished in time for the anniversary and I have to say for a first work I am really proud of what Cyrus and I wrote. It is a relentless takedown of free will and identity that tells you how it is going to end early on but still surprises when it actually follows through.
The credits are mostly contained in the Behind the Curtains video premiering at 7:30, I did not include them in their entirety with this video to keep it relatively contained to the play. The play is here in its entirety. It is, by necessity, a super-cut of the first performance on December 27th, 2000, and the final performance on December 29th. There is NO complete performance from any one night. The Wednesday show was missing the ending, and the Friday show was missing a chunk out of the middle due to the camera accidentally being turned off. When two versions of a scene were available, I tried to use the one that was clearest and showcased the actors better.
Anyway, Baby's Changing. Here it is.

This IS happening in seven days.
Sign up to youtube, hit the reminder bell and get ready to be transported to a play in the year 2000. This video will premiere a half an hour before the show starts at 8pm. You can watch it on your television set but if you watch it on your computer you should be able to comment while it is going live- I'll be there to reply to any questions and Cyrus will be there for the complaints! I'm working on the final play video at the moment and will publish a separate link for that when it is available!
There are still 2 more Episodes of the Documentary left as well, and I will resume work on those when the play is ready to go. Thanks again for all of the support, and great memories.

This is all of the pre-show footage that will lead us directly into the play

Only 2 episodes left! Wow, time flies! This episode could have been a 2-parter on it's own as it deals with 2 different rehearsals, and again, almost the entire cast has a role here. I'd like to thank this week's special guest- Tovah Stevenson for her work. Tovah starred in Death of a Mime, by Rob Albanese and myself, our first directorial and playwriting excursion, so having her back even for a day on Baby's Changing was great.
Gena Albanese also makes an appearance as a "Super Fan" here. Gena in ACTUALITY came in as an experienced stage director to help Cyrus and I reign in the large cast and get the chaos and feelings that things might implode stamped down. Her car battery really did die though so her great improvisation here was completely 100% of the moment.

We're back! This one has all of your favorites! Almost the entire cast shows up for this episode and it took way too long to put together, that's why it's late. But the plan is still to finish up before the 27th when the play premieres. So that means almost an episode a day moving forward. I'm on vacation from work so I can focus, I think. Get ready for the end as episodes drop like bombs and we all get to say goodbye to our favorite wrestling league- The OW.

EPISODE 12The plot this episode is thin, basically just a romance/sexual harassment in the workplace depending on how you look at it, but here we are, firing...
