Saturday & Sunday, August 9th & 10th from 10-4pm. Free with regular gate admission fees.

Break out your wizarding robes! It is summer and magic is in the air! Come dressed as your favorite wizard (costumes welcome but no real weapons or dangerous props). Practice your incantations, potion mixing and hunt marvelous magical monsters. Seek wizard artifacts on a self-guided fun for all ages treasure hunt. Bring your spell books and wands to guard against the dark forces that have been unleashed at Fort Knox!

Halloween fun during the day! October 19th - October 30th from 10am - 4pm. Spooks and monsters have taken over Fort Knox and we need your help to find them all! The Scavenger Haunt is geared toward the younger monster hunters who search through historic Fort Knox’s dark passageways and creepy rooms to check off their list. All monsters are static props and decorations. Find them all and come back to the Visitor Center for a little surprise as your monster hunter reward! Coming in costume is welcome but no real weapons allowed!

The Friends of Fort Knox is sad to announce that we will not be hosting Fright at the Fort in 2024. The board, director, staff and past Fright volunteers struggled with this decision, but with each year, we experienced increased production costs, guest misbehavior, liability insurance risk, and decreased attendance with fewer staff and volunteers. It was not decided lightly.

To the many fans of Fright, we’re sincerely sorry to disappoint you. To the local community and supporters who made past Frights so successful and frightful, we cannot thank you all enough for your efforts and energy. We could not have done it without you.

Guests become part of a paranormal investigation using high-tech night vision and sensor equipment to discover what goes bump in the night.
