👀 A little sneak peek at what we’ve been working on!

We’ve been busy over at Hampden-Sydney College, working on a project at the Fitness Center, and we wanted to share a little preview!

Here’s a look at this custom desk we built and installed as part of the project. 🔨 There’s nothing quite like seeing a piece go from measurements and raw materials in the shop to completely built, finished, and installed in its new home.

This is just a small piece of what we’ve been working on over there — more pictures of the finished project are coming soon! 👀

We’re excited to show you the rest!

🏆🏀 Custom built to showcase and perform!

We recently wrapped up two custom projects — a trophy display case and new cabinetry for the coaches’ basketball locker room.

The trophy case was designed as a large, open display area featuring tempered glass and a natural oak finish. The clean, open design provides plenty of room to showcase trophies, awards, and accomplishments while letting the beautiful oak grain stand out.

For the coaches’ locker room, we built a completely custom setup featuring drawers, plenty of storage, and dedicated hanging areas to keep everything organized and functional. The locker cabinetry was finished in Stamped Concrete, giving the space a clean, modern look.

From showcasing achievements 🏆 to creating functional everyday storage 🏀 — everything was custom built and installed specifically for these spaces.

✨ Giving a 1960s kitchen some much-needed extra space! ✨

We recently had the opportunity to add onto this kitchen featuring its original cabinetry from the 1960s!

Rather than replacing everything, we built new custom cabinets to work alongside the existing kitchen — expanding the layout and adding more storage, more countertop space, and better functionality for everyday use.

Projects like this are always unique because the goal isn’t just to build something new — it’s to make sure the new cabinetry feels like it belongs with what’s already been there for more than 60 years.

A little more room, a lot more storage, and a kitchen that can continue serving this home for years to come! 🔨

✨ Custom design with accessibility in mind ✨

We recently built and installed this beautiful furniture-style bathroom vanity, designed specifically to provide wheelchair accessibility without sacrificing style or functionality.

Alongside the vanity, we built a matching linen cabinet with plenty of shelf space for towels, linens, toiletries, and everyday bathroom essentials.

One of the best parts of custom cabinetry is being able to build around the needs of the homeowner — creating something that fits the space, works for everyday life, and still looks like a beautiful piece of furniture.

Functional. Accessible. Custom built. 🔨

✨ A fresh new look without starting from scratch! ✨

We just wrapped up this beautiful kitchen refacing project, giving the existing cabinetry a completely new look along with some major upgrades!

For this project, we built and installed all-new Shaker cabinet doors and drawer fronts, along with new dovetail drawer boxes and soft-close drawer slides for that smooth, quality feel.

The cabinets were beautifully finished in Canal Street by Sherwin-Williams, with all of the painting completed by Chapman. The transformation was finished off with beautiful new countertops from Virginia Marble.

Refacing can completely change the look and feel of a kitchen while still making use of the existing cabinetry — and this one turned out beautifully!

✨ Another kitchen transformation complete! ✨

We just wrapped up this beautiful kitchen remodel, and we love how fresh and inviting this space turned out!

The cabinetry was finished in Bird’s Egg by Benjamin Moore, bringing a soft touch of color into the kitchen while still keeping the overall look clean and timeless. It’s a great example of how stepping away from traditional white cabinets can completely change the personality of a room.

From the build to the final installation, it’s always rewarding to see everything come together and watch a new kitchen take shape. 🔨

🏆 A project we're proud to be a part of! 🏆

We recently completed and installed these custom trophy display cases at Hampden-Sydney College.

Designed to showcase achievements for years to come, these cases feature:
✨ Tempered glass for durability and a crystal-clear display
📚 Adjustable glass shelves to beautifully display awards and memorabilia
⚪ Crisp white cabinetry
🖤 A bold Tricorn Black frame that creates a clean, timeless contrast

It's always rewarding to build pieces that not only serve a purpose but also help preserve the history and accomplishments of an institution.

Thank you to Hampden-Sydney College for trusting Cook's Cabinet Co. with this project!

✨ The ultimate entertainment wall is complete! 🎬✨

We recently built and installed this custom media entertainment center with matching built-in bookcases, all crafted from natural alder with a beautiful natural finish.

Designed to surround the TV, this entertainment center was built with both style and function in mind. The custom shelving provides plenty of storage for an extensive DVD collection, keeping everything organized while creating a clean, built-in look that transforms the entire room.

The natural alder showcases the beauty of the wood grain, adding warmth and timeless character that will never go out of style.

✨ Another full-home transformation complete! ✨

We just wrapped up a beautiful house full of custom cabinetry, bringing style and functionality to every corner of the home.

This project included:
🏡 A custom kitchen
🧺 A spacious laundry room
🛁 Bathroom vanities
🧴 A matching linen cabinet

The kitchen and laundry room were finished in a timeless white, while the island, bathroom vanities, and linen cabinet were painted "In the Garden," adding the perfect touch of color and character throughout the home. The two-tone design creates a fresh, inviting feel that's both elegant and timeless.

Every cabinet was custom built and installed with quality craftsmanship and attention to every detail.

✨ A beautiful blend of style and function ✨

We recently completed this custom project featuring a stunning kitchen, a storage-packed laundry room, and a custom vanity — all finished in Cream Delight by Valspar.

From the spacious kitchen cabinetry to the laundry room's abundance of storage, every detail was designed to make everyday living easier and more organized. The matching vanity ties everything together, creating a seamless look throughout the home.

The warm, inviting tone of Cream Delight gives these spaces a timeless feel while keeping them bright, clean, and welcoming.
