One of the items we are wrapping up while in Taiwan. The injection molded tip for our Adrenaline AIRE Lock-Tip Bolt System. It enters from the rear, cannot shoot out and the injection molded material should be extremely durable. I told them I want to change the color on the actual run to Royal Blue to closer match company colors.

Was going great testing the new Aire at Tri-State Paintball Park under the lights until the 3D printed test feedneck snapped (they told me it would). Thing rips though. Now off to Taiwan Monday🤙

You may notice our feedneck doesn’t thread on like a normal Luxe. It clamps on like a Shocker and most other brands.

The camera was tilted a little, so the feedneck may look slightly off in the photo. It isn’t. The thing is completely centered and symmetrical, and the loader sits dead center due to our unique feedneck.

A stupid amount of engineering went into this little area. We fancy ourselves pretty smart, but on those calls, we mostly shut up and let the guys with the fancy degrees do the talking. The SmoothFeed system ended up with weird detent locations, an odd body entry and a funky feedneck but it has no moving parts, shims or inserts (original design concepts did) and requires zero maintenance.

A pain in the ass for us. Simple for you. Exactly how it should be.

We use a larger extrusion to allow for all the peaks and valleys of the facets. This was before we cleaned up tooling marks with more passes.

Feeling incredibly blessed. Maybe we were due after getting hammered over our first exterior design—a criticism we took in stride, listened to, and used to make it better.

Since then, every modification we’ve tested has performed beyond our expectations—honestly, better than we could have hoped.

In this test, we put three full cases through it at over 17 BPS with the loader delay set to ZERO. And by zero, we don’t mean the lowest setting within a range—we mean OFF. We ran hopper after hopper completely dry, and it just kept sending lasers with virtually no kick or rise.

One of the engineers we worked with even believed the SmoothFeed design could be patentable. We aren't (we know how paintballers love patents) but we do think we have something special brewing.

How determined are we to produce to the Adrenaline Luxe AIRE faster than any of our other full customs we've ever made? We have the body in hand fully anodized and will post a mic-drop test firing video tomorrow. In about 10 days we are going to Taiwan to edit the final molds and obtain our final parts. By going there in person we estimate a savings of about 1 month of production time (getting a sample shipped, waiting on shipping, customs, etc. then revision, then shipping, customs, etc., revision, etc). By the time I fly back the final remaining items will be running or done.

The trip leaves on Monday Aug 31 and arrives in Taipei on Wednesday September 2. It's almost 60 hours of travel time and lots of money just to create around 600 markers once every few years (after tossing an expensive prior design). No one does all of this stuff we do and after you see the test firing video tomorrow you will see why we go through all of this. And everything is ahead of schedule.
