Prior Lake Players Community Theatre Prior Lake Players has been producing and performing live theater for the South Metro since 1972.

The Prior Lake Players (PLP) is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing quality theatre entertainment to Prior Lake and the surrounding areas. PLP has been an active part of the Twin Cities community since 1972.

There are a few audition spots still available! We are so excited to see everybody!

🎭 Please prepare: A 45–60 second Shakespearean soliloquy of your choosing. Memorization is preferred.

This production takes Shakespeare into the world of Reality TV docudramas. 🎥💅 Think Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Real Housewives, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives… but make it Shakespeare.
So bring us the drama, the confessionals, the side-eyes, and your best over-the-top self. 👀

We are thrilled to announce that registration is now open for our second Penguin Project production—Disney's Winnie the Pooh KIDS! 🍯✨

Join us for a magical and inclusive theatre experience through the Penguin Project, a nationally recognized program that empowers young artists with disabilities to shine on stage! Every artist will be paired with a peer mentor who provides one-on-one support throughout rehearsals and performances, making friendships and memories that last a lifetime. Together, we’ll create a fun, supportive environment where everyone can take center stage.

We are seeking production team members for our fall show Much Ado About Nothing and our spring musical Free to Be… You and Me! If interested, please complete and submit the form below by August 3rd.

And last but by no means least, rounding out our intern bios are these three and not pictured we give a shout out to Markell, Evan and Marshall who chose to keep their bio sheets before a picture could be captured. And it is worth mentioning for year three of our camp we had three alumni campers return as interns: Evan, Kenzie and Marshall. How cool is that?

Four more of our FABULOUS INTERNS! We were never more grateful to have a such a ginormous number of interns than we were Friday morning! These teens stepped up big time when the cafeteria was suddenly transformed into a makeshift stage complete with a backstage, house seats and a lobby refreshment area. Saying the interns rocked it is an understatement!

Usually “Meet the Players” posts are shared in the weeks leading up to a performance but in the case of a one week theatre camp, the bio sheets were not completed until the day before the show. So to show more love to our AMAZING INTERNS and put them in the spotlight once again, here are the first 4 bios of the teens who worked (and played) hard all week for PLP!
