POSITION OPENING

The Princeton Park and Recreation Department is seeking a full time Administrative/Programming Assistant Manager. The employee will report directly to the Executive Director and will work 40 hours per week. The employee will also be required to work mostly evening and weekend shifts. The position comes with an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vison, and retirement.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required. A high school diploma or GED is required. Also, a valid driver’s license is required. Preference given to applicants with formal training, experience, and/or knowledge of general office procedures and programming within the Recreation Department. Public relations and computer skills are necessary.

The Manager will perform various duties in support of the Executive Director and Assistant Director. The individual will be required to learn aspects of both positions. Key duties and responsibilities: prepare schedules for league games, practices, staffing, and game officials, help train and supervise staff and maintain order, run the game clock/scoreboard, fill in as a coach or referee when needed, plan activities and supervise children in the Summer Day Camp program, order materials and supplies, maintain organized records, make bank deposits, perform payroll, and other job duties as required.
