Friday night football is here!

If you’re headed to a local game tonight, be sure to grab a snack or drink from the band concession stand. Every purchase helps support our hardworking student musicians and keeps our local band programs going strong.

And when halftime rolls around, stay in your seats, pay attention, and cheer just as loudly for the band as you do for the team! These students work incredibly hard and deserve our support.

Cheer loud, eat well, and support your band!

⚠️ IMPORTANT TICKET WARNING ⚠️

We’ve received many calls regarding tickets for Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol.

Unfortunately, third-party resellers and scammers are capitalizing on Dolly’s passing by advertising fraudulent tickets for hundreds, and even thousands, of dollars.

Tickets are ONLY available to CMC Members at this time. Public ticket sales begin Monday, September 14 at 10:00 AM through the Chuck Mathena Center.

Please do not purchase tickets from any reseller or third-party website. These tickets are NOT valid, and you will not be admitted to the performance.

The only way to guarantee valid tickets is to purchase directly through the Chuck Mathena Center.

Please share!

🥁🎺 It’s one of our favorite times of the year!

We’re thrilled to once again team up with Greg Barnett Photography to celebrate the incredible students who bring our local marching bands to life each fall.

Greg has a gift for capturing so much more than a great photo. His images show the talent, dedication, energy, and heart these students pour into every performance. Behind every image are countless hours spent learning music, memorizing drill, practicing in the summer heat, and preparing to take the field under those Friday night lights.

We’re proud to help Greg showcase these talented young people and the band directors, parents, boosters, and families who support them every step of the way.

Over the coming days and weeks, keep an eye out for more of Greg’s incredible work featuring the Princeton Senior High School Band, Bluefield High Beaver Marching Band, and PikeView High School Band!

Here’s to a fantastic marching season and to the talented artist behind the lens helping us celebrate it

The event raised $490.97, and our amazing community has donated another $1,120, bringing the total raised to $1,610.97! These funds will help Generations prepare for its Broadway show in 2027.

We’re so grateful to Applebee’s for hosting us and to everyone who enjoyed a meal, made a donation, and supported this wonderful, free community choir. We can’t wait to see what Generations brings to the stage next year!

Want to help Generations reach its goal? Donations of any amount will help bring our 2027 Broadway show to the stage!

We are excited to share that the Chuck Mathena Center has received a Mid Atlantic Presenter Initiatives grant from Mid Atlantic Arts!

CMC is one of just 40 organizations across the ten-state mid-Atlantic region selected for funding. This grant will support our presentation of Broadway's Next Hit Musical: The Phony Awards, an entirely improvised musical comedy created right before your eyes!

In addition to the public performance, the artists will participate in a special community engagement activity, helping us bring even more meaningful arts experiences to Southern West Virginia.

We are incredibly grateful to Mid Atlantic Arts for investing in the Chuck Mathena Center and the community we proudly serve. We can’t wait to welcome Broadway’s Next Hit Musical to Princeton!
