Princeton Summer Theater is back after two years away! Princeton Summer Theater is an opportunity for young actors, directors, designers, and theater administrators to become part of a unique artistic community. Our executive board and full-time company are made up entirely of passionate Princeton University undergraduates/recent graduates. PST offers them an unparalleled experience, a nurturing e
nvironment that inspires artistic ingenuity and prepares creative minds to enter the professional theater world. Strong relationships are formed between company members who work and live together for the duration of the season and artists of the greater-Princeton area who are enthusiastic about collaborating with precocious newcomers on the theater scene. Our lineup this summer is:
The Great Gatsby
By F. Scott Fitzgerald, adapted for the stage by Simon Levy

Jay Gatsby passionately pursues his dreams, his ambition, and the love of his life against an American society sometimes boiling with change, and sometimes rooted in the past. Featuring a live band, this production brings the heart-wrenching emotion and breathtaking glamour of the Jazz Age to the stage in F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel, and in Simon Levy's adaptation, approved by the Fitzgerald Estate. The Fox on the Fairway
By Ken Ludwig
Show opens July 8 and closes July 17. A tribute from Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor, Moon over Buffalo) to the great English farces of the 1930s and 40s, The Fox On the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp which is sure to leave you laughing! This charmingly madcap adventure begins as Quail Valley Country Club prepares to take on archival Crouching Squirrel in the Annual Inter-Club Golf Tournament. With a sizable wager at stake, the contest plays out amidst three love affairs, a disappearing diamond, objectionable sweaters and, of course, golf. Detroit ‘67
By Dominique Morisseau

Motown music is getting the party started, and Chelle and her brother Lank are making ends meet by turning their basement into an after-hours joint. But when a mysterious woman finds her way into their lives, the siblings clash over much more than the family business. As their pent-up feelings erupt, so does their city, and they find themselves caught in the middle of the 67 race riots.
