The design features an Orthodox above the skull of Adam, who was buried at Golgotha, where Christ was crucified.

I just love making these Medieval Slavic designs! 😍☦️📜

This beautiful ornament comes from a sixteenth century Slavic Orthodox prayerbook called “Molitvennik Voivode Bozhidara Vukanovicha” (dated 1538).

It features a black and white rectangular floral vine pattern on a diagonally striped background, as in the original manuscript. Above the design are the abbreviations “IC” and “XC”, abbreviations for the Greek words Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) and Χριστός (Christ).

This ornament was hand-illustrated by me on my iPad using Adobe Fresco and edited on my laptop using Adobe Illustrator.

It would look beautiful on a church bulletin, letter, or music handout!

Excited to share my first medieval Slavic graphic!

This page ornament was adapted from a medieval Slavic prayer book called “Molitvennik Voivode Bozhidara Vukanovicha” dated 1538.

It features a black and white weaving vine-like pattern (on a transparent background) with the word “God” (Боже) in Old Church Slavonic written, abbreviated, in the center.

I hand-illustrated this ornament on my iPad using Adobe Fresco and I edited it on my laptop using Adobe Illustrator.

It would look great on a church letter or bulletin!
