After several seasons of video taping high school sports, SAV began taping dirt track stock car racing. The year was 1989 and races consisted of Bureau County Speedway, Princeton, Illinois, and when they closed for the season, we finished the rest of the season at Tommy’s LaSalle Speedway, LaSalle, Illinois. In 1990, we expanded to cover as many as four tracks on a weekly basis, and hitting many others on off-nights. This adventure continued through the 2003 season, when the decision was made, that it was no longer possible to keep up the pace.
