Live Concert of “Peter and the Wolf” at the Lower School Assembly

Princeton Day School was fortunate to welcome Joshua Im for a special Lower School Assembly in the McAneny Theater. Dr. Im, who plays the violin, gave a wonderful presentation on the instruments in an orchestra, giving an overview of the strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Then, the audience was treated to a concert performance of “Peter and the Wolf” by Sergei Prokofiev, featuring an amazing group of musicians playing the flute, clarinet, oboe, and bassoon—each instrument representing a character in the story. The audience especially appreciated the narration against the backdrop of beautiful pictures from the story.
